MY BIO
Lulu was
born in Peru and raised in Queens, New York. While on a trip to Peru in the late 1980's, Lulu came face to face with
terrorism. She traveled to the Amazon jungle of Peru with her uncle whose construction company was in charge of building
all the Military Posts for the war against "The Shining Path" and "Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement." These insurgent
groups of fearless terrorists were tearing the country apart with bombs, kidnappings and murdering thousands of innocent people.
The jungle was virgin territory back then, mostly unexplored; you could only get to these Outposts by helicopter or canoes.
It was the hub of the terrorists where they trained and took refuge because of its inaccessibility. While in the jungle
the threat of encountering these terrorists was always present. Lulu says "I was very lucky to experience such virgin
territory which was beautiful even among danger it was magical; I would do it all over again!
Lulu
has overcome many obstacles and tragedies in her life. She overcame drug addiction which almost ruined her
life in her early years. She says "My life was in such turmoil while growing up, that I turned to drugs and alcohol
to escape."
She
admits that her faith and her deep believe in God is what helped her get through the hard times. She says "If it was
not for God who carried me through the trials and tribulations in my life, I know I would not have survived. I
am grateful for all the trials they have made me a better person."
Lulu has worked as a paralegal for Fortune 500 Law Firms
in New York City, Florida and Oregon. She is an entrepreneur and owns a translating company and a resume service company
online. Her true calling and passion is for writing, she says "I have been writing stories and poems since I was a child.
I love storytelling it's a gift from God." Lulu is working on her first book "The Story of Rose" which is a fantasy
young adult novel.
