Sow a Thought, Reap an Action; Sow an Action,
Reap a Habit; Sow a Habit, Reap a Character; Sow a Character, Reap a Destiny."
It is said that countries like us have genders,
New York is a powerful male, and Paris an elegant lady. Growing up in New york, I agree with these comparisons.
New York can be beautiful and exciting, but it can also be cold and scary if you are all alone. The weekly video is
a tribute to Liz Murray a young adolescent from the Bronx, New York. Her parents drug addicts who could not take care
of her, left her destitute and homeless at the young age of 16. Alone and faced with such harships, she overcame her
insurmountable obstacles and went to Harvard, one of the most, if not the most prestigious University in the United States.
She accomplished this with a herculean determination and perseverance that we all possess but few of us tap into.
The following video is her story in her own words, and a clip from her movie "Homeless to Harvard." You have to watch
the two videos to actually grasp the magnitude of her accomplishments. I take my hat off to her, and try to learn form
her fortitude and resilience to accomplish my own goals and dreams. I hope you enjoy it.
